I posted my profile about the same time I started working on my timeskip Yoko cosplay. As of Anime Boston 2009, it is completed! ...sort of.

No one wants to see them live their lives without a skyCollapse )

As is with my last cosplay, there are some things about this that just don't sit right with me. The bra was made out of push-up cups, which ended up not sitting right at all and didn't make my boobs look any bigger (maybe even smaller in fact), the shoes caused me all sorts of unbearable pain within 5 minutes of wearing them, and I AM NOT GOING TO COMB OUT THAT WIG ANY MORE. So, for the most part, is it completed, but it isn't a perfect cosplay yet. I have 2 months to make these modifications in time for ConnectiCon. :)

Hungary - happy
Hi, guys, I'm working on a Messenger Nia cosplay, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on the red lines/wires. I'm sewing piping onto the bodysuit, which seems like the most logical way I can think of, but I'm kind of wondering if there's an easy way to sew it on in some of the more difficult parts, like onto the sleeves or gloves. I can't seem to find a way to get the underside of the glove out of the way. Should I just do it by hand?

And also, I'm having a lot of trouble finding the right wedges, unless they're like six inches high, which I don't think is a good idea since I'm already 5'10". I'm actually considering just getting flats. But does anyone have any suggestions?
28th-Jan-2009 05:20 pm - sorry, thank you, and help needed! XD
WAH I didn't realize there are quite of numbers of members here! T__T THANK YOU.

Also, sorry for being inactive, my server for LJ is slow since late 2008, I dunno heck why, but I suspect it must be my country's lame internet connection error.

SO, it is a good time to recruit co-mods, YEAH!!

To apply, just go to this link: http://community.livejournal.com/cosgar/1773.html

Good luck ^__^
27th-Jan-2009 11:21 pm - Yoko outfit help
I'm going to a anime con in a couple of months and I was considering doing the adult version of Yoko, with the jacket and all. I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on how to make it looking spanking great? Or any stores I could go to to find like the bra and long boots? And money isn't a concern .. so please I'm all ears people. =)

DOGS ►Haine is not amused
So my cosplay gang decided to hit up the Maryland Renaissance Festival this year , and what's better suited for a Rennfair than the GurePara Fantasy Lagann costumes? A lot of things, probably. I got asked if I had my head shoved in ye olde sewage pipe. So I thought I'd share with you, my lovelies, our GRAND ADVENTURE TO YE OLDE RENNFAIRE.

YE OLDE CUTCollapse )
I'm looking to form a parallel works cosplay group for next year for several cons. I want to focus on cosplaying from parallel works video 1, the fantasy saga. I am planning on cosplaying that version of Simon next year. I'm not sure yet which cons yet, but I am planning on hitting up these following cons next year:

Ohayo Con, TekkoshoCon, Anime Central, Colossal Con*, Ikasu Con, Otakon, Matsuri Con*, Anime USA and Youma Con

If you are heading to any of these and would like to join the group, please let me know. All characters but Simon is open for the fantasy saga.
